Super sensitive Compact Lightning Detector Kit can be used to detect lightning strikes many miles away. With each strike a brilliant white LED flashes and a built in speaker chirps. Has on board "ON" indicator LED and operates from one 9V battery (not included). Size of PC board only 1.35" x 2". As storms approach, the white flashes and sounds become more frequent until the detector is really obnoxious, so we provide a mute switch to silence the sound. NOTE: The lightning detector is very sensitive but it is not as sophisticated as commercial lightning strike detectors and therefore should never be relied upon to indicate the presence of lightning or to indicate whether it is safe to stay in an area. It is for educational/demonstration purposes only and always remember that all lightning is very dangerous. Complete with all parts, PC board and instructions. Skill Level 3.
